lorem ipsum

Who is eligible to join the VFW and how can I join?

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) of the United States is a 501(c)(19) federally chartered, nonprofit, charitable organization. The VFW is not a club. We are a part of a Fraternal Organization, baptized with the blood of heroes, and entrusted with a solemn commitment to care for America’s veterans, widows and children.

Who can join the VFW and how do you join?

VFW membership is open to all honorably discharged veterans who served in our nation’s military in any foreign war, insurrection or expedition, which is recognized by the award of a campaign or service medal of the United States or by the receipt of Hostile Fire Pay or Imminent Danger Pay. Visit this page to learn more.

Do you have to be a VFW member to visit a Canteen or attend official Post events?

You do not have to be a VFW member to visit our Canteen, which is open to the public. Membership in the VFW is, however, required to attend Post meetings and other official events.
